Message to Matthews Pacific Tiger Fund Shareholders

We are pleased to announce that Andrew Mattock, CFA, has been named a Co-Manager of the Matthews Pacific Tiger Fund. Andrew joins a portfolio management team comprised of Co-Lead Managers Sharat Shroff, CFA, and Inbok Song, and Co-Manager Winnie Chwang. 

As Co-Manager, Andrew will focus his research responsibilities on China’s equity markets, with a particular focus on large and mega-cap companies. Given his experience as a Lead Manager on the Matthews China Fund, he will also contribute to discussions on portfolio construction including buys/sell decisions and position sizing. The addition of Andrew as a Co-Manager on the Fund further formalizes the Pacific Tiger team’s engagement with the China team and ensures that there continues to be a deep bench of expertise in Chinese companies across market capitalization on behalf of the Matthews Pacific Tiger Fund. All other aspects of the Fund remain unchanged, including the investment process.
